PILGRIM HOOVER:
A special programme to commemorate the first working of a preserved
Class 50 on the main line. The occasion was the 'The Pilgrim Hoover'
railtour on 1st November 1997 which ran from Birmingham New Street to
Plymouth and back using 50031. Includes superb lineside shots of the
historic run as Hood tackles the notorious south Devon banks as
well as cab footage filmed along the coastline between Dawlish and
Teignmouth.
ONWARDS & UPWARDS:
Covering the period 1996 to 2000, this programme features plenty of
main line action with 50031 Hood, 50044 Exeter and 50049
Defiance. Includes the Cardiff- Rhymney commuter services, numerous
railtours...and even a ballast train! Also featured is the road move of
50035 Ark Royal from St Leonards to Kidderminster followed by the
locos first runs in preservation. Also featured are the Minehead and
Kidderminster Class 50 'concertos'!
These programmes were originally available as three separate VHS tapes.
In converting them into DVD format, the footage has been re-mastered to
enhance your viewing pleasure.
